Honey Parker Terry King Richard Voorhies
Welcome back, everyone! Happy fall!
For our first "Authors & Characters" luncheon of the new season, we are proud to feature THREE highly-talented self-published authors and their books! Each author will present information about themselves and their books for approximately 15 minutes, followed by some brief Q & A and an opportunity to purchase books from any or all authors. So fun!! I hope you'll join us for this "novel" start to a new season of good friends, tasty lunches, and gifted writers.
May we proudly introduce . . .
Honey Parker: Careful-ish; Bride of Careful-ish; Daughter of Careful-ish
From Amazon.com: Overeating. Oversharing. Not enough distancing . . . What could go wrong? Meet six diverse friends quarantining in The Greatest City On Earth. They struggle to maintain their social lives, pay the bills, and find new purpose.
Terry King: Dead People, Crazy People, Drugs and Politicians
From Amazon.com: A Ph.D. toxicologist takes a management position with the coroner’s office and realizes her boss is stealing. After acknowledging questionable practices in a staff meeting, she is asked to break the law, refuses, gets a pink slip and sues her former employer—the highest paid public official in Louisiana, for wrongful termination. . . .The husband and his newfound corruption-fighting friends . . . continue their heroic plight and nail over two dozen more public officials gone bad. At the end the group recounts its triumphs, sharing the secrets of their unlikely, amazing success, hopeful of a more involved, and better America.
Richard Voorhies: Chenault: A Rebel in China; Chenault: American Warrior
From Amazon.com: Chennault was a product of his time and circumstances. Born in the rural south just 28 years after the American Civil War ended, he felt its effects. He turned lessons learned in Southern defeat into victories in China.
