Once again, the BSL Library's "Authors & Characters" program will be on location at the BSL Little Theater on Thursday, Sept. 26! (For clarification, we will be inside the theater--not actually "outside", as stated above). Patrons will serve as the audience for the theater's stage dress rehearsal of the acclaimed major motion picture, A Few Good Men. How exciting is that!?

Just as before, a sugar-free treat will be provided; water and wine will also be available. Please arrive at 6:30 to snack and mingle; we'll all take our seats at 7 pm sharp.

Theater seats are limited for this fabulous theatrical rendering of Rob Reiner's 1992 blockbuster flim, so please register (yourself and your friends!) now to ensure your spot for this exciting evening. Even though Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, and Jack Nicholson will not be joining us, this stage production of the movie promises to deliver some of the finest acting you will see in our area.

Here is brief synopsis of the plot:  Lt. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) is a military lawyer defending two U.S. Marines charged with killing a fellow Marine at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. Although Kaffee is known for seeking plea bargains, a fellow lawyer, Lt. Cdr. JoAnne Galloway (Demi Moore), convinces him that the accused marines were most likely carrying out an order from a commanding officer. Kaffee takes a risk by calling Col. Nathan R. Jessep (Jack Nicholson) to the stand in an effort to uncover the conspiracy.

Below:  A stage production of the play performed in London's West End in the early 2000s. That's Rob Lowe in the middle!
