The Hancock Community Archive is an initiative of the HCLS Digital Archives—aimed at capturing and preserving the cultural heritage and local history of Hancock County, Mississippi.
You can learn more about our digital collections on our website, including current request for donations for existing collections.
Join us for this ongoing series to learn about our collections, donate materials for scanning, and hear stories from members of our community.
Set a resolution to organize your personal paper and digital files! Come learn tips and tricks for personal archiving and learn more about our community archiving initiative.
HCLS will be hosting a community scan to digitize your photographs and documents—donate to our community archive and leave with copies of your materials.
Time is limited, so please register and let us know what materials you have to digitize. If you have a larger collection of items to donate, we can arrange to digitize outside of this event. Items not completed at this community scan will be completed and returned to you.
Do you have special formats like VHS? HCLS can help convert your files to current media (by special appointment).
