Summer Library Program events are made possible in partnership with the Mississippi Library Commission and resources from the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP).

Join Nature on the Geaux for hands-on environmental education, stem, and interactive animal exhibits. This Summer Library Program is a great way to learn about the world around us and how a clean environment is vital to humans and animals.

Children's Programming

Children age six to ten (6-10) may not be left alone at the library and must have a supervising parent/guardian or designated caregiver 14 years or older.

Live Animals

This program involves an encounter with a live animal.  Attendees must follow all instructions from the animal handler to ensure the safety of the animals and the audience.  

Photography & Filming

HCLS may take photos, videos, and audio recordings during events and activities to use in its promotional and marketing materials, on its website, and on social media platforms.  Any individual that does not wish the Library to use a photograph or video of them or their child should inform Library staff prior to such photographs or videos being taken.
