Bring a brand new pair of Keds-type sneakers/tennis shoes and two fat quarters (quilting fabric) to Glam up your shoes. Terry will work up a pattern of your shoes then Terry will teach us how to totally transform our shoes in time for summer.

Help us paint our book ends for our Young Adult and Graphic Novel book sections!

Join us for a fun after-hours event for teens only! Library will be closed to the public and allow for use of the space by and for teens! Video games, movies, crafts, and other activities. Snacks & Dinner will be provided. 

Club Wednesday is a club for individuals of all abilities. We get together monthly for enrichment, socialization and crafting. Anyone is welcome to join in the fun. Call Judy at the circulation desk for more information.

Our Summer Reading Program continues with a visit from the Hattiesburg zoo! Can you guess which animals will come? After a presentation with live animals, all visitors to the program will get a free small snowball from The Sweet Escape!

HCLS will be hosting a community scan to preserve local Mardi Gras history. Bring your personal photographs, flyers, and other documents to donate to our digital archives. Items will be scanned and returned.

Come one, come all, to the Kiln Library to "meetup" and socialize with homeschool students (ages 5-19) in our area! This is an opportunity for homeschool families to meet and network about everything homeschool and more.

Join us as we talk about all things gardening. Share your experiences, ideas and even plants with people who love to work in the garden. You may even go home with a new plant or three!

Open to the Hancock County community, you are welcome to perform a poetry reading (yours or a favorite poet), short story, original song, dance, comedy routine, play soliloquy, or something else, no more than 10 minutes long.
