The Hancock Community Archive is an initiative of the HCLS Digital Archives—aimed at capturing and preserving the cultural heritage and local history of Hancock County, Mississippi.

Join us for this ongoing series to learn about our collections, donate materials for scanning, and hear stories from members of our community.
In this inaugural session, Hancock Community Archive features special guest Maurice Singleton, Jr.—editor of the Mississippi Star magazine (1996-2000). HCLS recently digitized a majority of issues as part of a National Endowment for the Humanities funded grant project with partners at the Internet Archive.
Maurice will discuss this community-focused publication and answer questions.
