Event Details
The Hancock Community Archive is an initiative of the HCLS Digital Archives—aimed at capturing and preserving the cultural heritage and local history of Hancock County, Mississippi.
You can learn more about our digital collections on our website, including current request for donations for existing collections.
Join us for this ongoing series to learn about our collections, donate materials for scanning, and hear stories from members of our community.
HCLS will be hosting a community scan to preserve local Mardi Gras history. Bring your personal photographs, flyers, and other documents to donate to our digital archives. Items will be scanned and returned. All items subject to review for inclusion in our digital collections, based on our library policies and U.S. Copyright laws.
We have limited resources and time, so registration is encouraged. We may not be able to complete all scanning, but we will do our best to complete and return during the program. Let us know in your registration notes what items you are bringing to scan.
If you want a digital copy, please bring a USB flash drive.
